The BERTSCHAT® Cooling Vest is equipped with interchangeable cooling elements, available in three variants: C15, C24 and C28. Each option is designed for specific environments and use cases, allowing you to tailor the cooling performance to your needs.

C15 (±15°C): Provides the fastest and most intense cooling effect. Ideal when the elements can be reactivated regularly, for example during breaks using a fridge or freezer.
C24 (±24°C): The most versatile option, offering balanced and comfortable cooling for activities such as cycling, hiking and general outdoor use.
C28 (±28°C): Best suited for high-temperature environments such as factories or industrial settings, where longer-lasting and more stable cooling is required.
Looking for extended cooling performance? Choose the PRO version, featuring cooling elements with 20% more Phase Change Material (PCM) for longer cooling duration.

Reactivation

To reactivate the cooling elements, they need to be placed in an environment that is cooler than their activation temperature (for example: C24 reactivates below 24°C). This process can be accelerated by placing the elements in a refrigerator or freezer (from approximately 20 minutes).

Please note: when using a freezer, the initial cooling effect may feel stronger due to the frozen outer layer, which can temporarily give a lower perceived temperature than the actual cooling performance.

As long as the material inside the elements feels solid, the cooling effect is active. Once the material becomes liquid, the elements need to be reactivated.

Made from 100% polyester for a lightweight and durable construction. Suitable for a delicate wash at 30°C with a low spin speed (up to 800 rpm). We recommend allowing the vest to air dry and avoiding direct heat sources. Remove the cooling elements before washing. The cooling elements are designed for long-lasting and safe use. They are non-flammable, do not produce condensation and are made from non-toxic materials. When not in use, we recommend storing the elements in a dry and dark environment. They can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth.
